REV EDMUND CHAN (“PASTOR ED”)
Founder & Leadership Mentor, Global Alliance of Intentional Disciple Making Churches

Rev Edmund Chan is the founder of the Intentional Disciple Making Church (IDMC) Conference, which he launched in 1995 with a clear vision to return the Church to her disciple-making roots. Under his leadership, IDMC has grown from a local discipleship gathering into a major international movement, shaping pastors and leaders across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.

A gifted expository preacher and leadership mentor, Pastor Ed is widely sought after for his clarity, depth, and prophetic insight into discipleship. He has authored numerous books and teaches leadership and discipleship courses globally, mentoring top-tier leaders in churches, organisations, and the marketplace.

For the past two years, he has served as the main speaker at IDMC Penang, imparting valuable biblical insights and catalysing a deeper disciple-making culture among churches in the region.

Pastor Ed is married to Ann, who ministers alongside him in the Global Alliance IDMC. They have two beloved adopted daughters, Amanda and Belicia.

PASTOR ANN CHAN
Executive Director, Global Alliance of Intentional Disciple Making Churches

Pastor Ann Chan serves as the Executive Director of the Global Alliance of Intentional Disciple Making Churches (IDMC) and is an Associate Pastor of Covenant Evangelical Free Church, Singapore. Ministering alongside her husband, Rev Edmund Chan, she plays a key role in shaping and strengthening the global disciple-making movement.

A gifted teacher, leader, and counsellor, Ann pioneered several foundational ministries at CEFC, including the Women-in-Covenant (WiC) ministry and the church’s breakthrough retreats. Her ministry influence extends beyond Singapore, having taught and mentored leaders in countries such as Hong Kong, Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Ann holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education (with honours) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She is co-author of well-used discipleship resources including Roots & Wings, Faith & Fire, Life & Legacy, and Grace & Glory.

PASTOR DR CHEW WENG CHEE
Founding Pastor & Pastor Emeritus, SIBKL

Pastor Dr Chew Weng Chee is the Founding Pastor and now Pastor Emeritus of SIBKL. A former Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, he left a successful medical career to answer God’s call to full-time ministry in 1999. Since then, he has been deeply committed to raising disciples and strengthening the Church in Malaysia and beyond.

Together with his wife, Pastor Dr Lee Choo, he pioneered and built SIBKL from a small gathering of 15 into a multi-generational disciple-making church of over 5,000 people. His ministry is marked by a strong emphasis on biblical discipleship, spiritual formation, and equipping believers to live out their faith with conviction and courage.

Dr Chew holds a Master’s Degree in Theology from Regent College, Vancouver. Today, he continues to mentor pastors, invest in emerging leaders, and strengthen churches across Malaysia through his Lentil Patch Ministry. He is also the author of Is Life Worth Living? and Chew on Revelation.

REV PALAN RAMASAMY
Chairman, Malaysia Baptist Convention

Rev Palan Ramasamy serves as Mentor Pastor at Reservoir Garden Baptist Church in Penang and is the Chairman of the Malaysia Baptist Convention, contributing to national missions and discipleship.

He has been deeply involved in leadership development and cross-cultural ministry — notably, in Nepal, where he initiated the Frontliners Nepal movement in 2005, equipping rural leaders and planting dozens of churches.

A compelling speaker and teacher, Rev Palan has featured in national conferences (such as Revo / Re:Union) and regularly preaches at churches and retreats across Malaysia.

He also serves as Vice Chair (Southeast Asia) for the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (APBF), helping shape regional discipleship and mission strategy.

For safety reasons, there are no facilities to store luggage at IMPACT. We advise not to bring any luggage with you.
No. IDMC will only be hosted in-person in IMPACT.
A conference pack and a lanyard will be available for pickup on the day itself during registration. We strongly encourage all attendees to bring your own writing materials to the conference.
The event is not suitable for children.
