The Georgetown Chinese Ministry was born after much prayer and the nagging realisation that for a long time there seemed to be a barrier between the Church and the inner City - the Chinese-speaking community around us.
It was officially started in 1998, progressing from a monthly meeting to a weekly service.
Through the years, God has been ever so faithful; encouraging His people continually through special visiting speakers and through His servants within the ministry.
During challenging times, we have seen our brothers and sisters who were not that active before rising to the occasion to serve in the forefront. Such is the depth of God's grace! As a result, hidden talents have been discovered and the existing ones have been nurtured and developed as their spiritual lives continue to grow.
This ministry comprises of the Mandarin Service on Sundays (go to Program/Calendar), as well as the various Cell Groups on Fridays (go to Cell Groups).
Its members share the bond and warmth of a close-knit family, worshipping God, serving Him and fellowshipping with one another regularly.
