The Vision of Georgetown Cell Groups is to make disciples who are holistic in the five purposes of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and missions, leading to the multiplication of cells.
Each of these purposes is championed by someone in the CG, so that the group is constantly encouraged to pursue each and every one of these purposes. In doing this, the programmes of the group are kept in good balance, which ensures that the group, as well as the individual members, develop holistically.
The importance of having everyone in a CG is underscored by the fact that membership in a CG must precede membership in the Church.
A Georgetown CG is the basic structural unit of the Church. It is key to help people integrate into the life and ministry of the Church. Here 8-12 members share their lives and find mutual encouragement through worship, Bible study and prayer. This bonding should then lead the group to united efforts in ministry.
Furthermore, Georgetown CGs are also meant for the un-churched. Suitable programmes are organised with the un-churched in mind so that the groups can reach out to them with the Gospel.
Being in a Georgetown CG is one of the most important things you can do.
